Meet us at the brass bar!

Hey everyone, welcome to Hair Flicks & Tricks – filling your glass with the lighter, fizzier yet oh so tasty parts of our pole world!

The pole industry is brimming with incredible people and events. While it does have its pole-tics (#lovesapun), I want to invite you to pull up a bar stool and meet some of the interesting and amazing people who make up our community.

I stumbled into my first pole dancing class in 2013. While the class itself was fantastic, it was like learning to shake your first cocktail – I was desperately clinging on, hoping bits didn’t fall out, and my arms were sore for days. While I’m still a young pole chicken, I have been fortunate enough to experience different parts of the industry over the years. Due to moving interstate, I was lucky enough to teach and meet amazing students in Victoria, Queensland and even Alice Springs! At one stage I was presented with the opportunity to become a studio manager, in which I was able to work alongside some industry greats, even getting a taste of organising pole events and comps. Through competing and performing myself, I have met inspiring pole dancers across all levels – from the top shelf pro’s and semi-pro's who are as smooth and classy as ever, to the amateurs who perform shorter shows, but like a good shot, they leave you with a lingering, burning taste for more!

Throughout these adventures, and most recently, I started to think about how great it would be for pole dancers and aerial lovers to also connect with each other on a whole new level. How great would it be to pop a prosecco and bring to the bar the stories of the wonderful people who continue to build up and create in our community.

This isn’t a place for instructive videos or for the industry to be shaken nor stirred. Hair Flicks & Tricks is about bringing people together, to continue to crack a cold one together and share insight into the world we are all so passionate about.

(Yes, I have worked on and off in the hospitality industry over the years!!)

Briana Bendelle

Briana has been pole dancing since 2012, where it was love at first body roll! She has been a student, teacher and studio manager over the years, and is happiest when she is hair flicking it out onstage. Along with a good pair of booty shorts, Briana loves sharing stories and telling anyone who will listen about the glittering pole community!
